Dicy Arnold to T. D. Baird 31 March 1859.
         I Dicy Arnold have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to Thomas D. Baird and his heirs and assigns forever, for the consideration of ten dollars to me paid a tract of land in the State of Tennessee Robertson County and District No. 1 Containing by estimation thirty eight acres, be the same more or less, and bounded as follow to wit: Beginning at a hickory, corner to Pond's land in said Baird South boundary line, Running thence West with his said line, one hundred and fifty two poles to a rock, Thomas Meguires N. E. Corner, to nine acre survey, thence South West forth poles to a stake, thence East one hundred and fifty two poles to a stake in Pond's line, thence North E. forty poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold the same to the said Thomas D. Baird his heirs and assigns forever, I do covenant with and bind myself, my heirs and Representatives to Warrant and defend the title of said land, to Thomas D. Baird his heirs and assigns forever, against any claim to be made by myself or any person claiming (______) or under me, but no further, this 19th day of August 1859. Received 31st March 1859 at 9 o'clk am.

         Personally appeared before me R. H. Murphey Clk of the County Court of said County, John Gossett & Edward Pond, subscribing witnesses to the forgoing deed, on their oaths, say that they are personally acquainted with Dicy Arnold the bargainer, to the forgoing deed, that she in their presence acknowledged the execution the foregoing Instrument to be her act & deed, for the purposes therein contained, on the day it bears date, Witness my hand of office this 29th day of March 1859.
