Whereas they do agree to marry on the following terms, to wit:
         that the said Ann is to her lawful dower in his the said Solomon estate during her lifetime and if she should be the longest live all the property is to descend to the said Solomon children at her death and she will not at any time claim any thing for the benefit of any person but her self and she will endeaver to the best of her abilities with the benefit and assistance of the negro woman Kitty to keep the children together till they are raised and if the said Ann should out live the said Solomon and think to marry again and quit her dower then and that case she is to have one hundred dollars worth of property to be her own.

         Robertson County Personally appearance before Wm. Seal Clerk of the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions for the County aforesaid John Wilson on the 16th day of May 1835 and Moses McCandy on this day subscribing witnesses to the Within marriage contract who being first sworn dispose and say that they are acquainted with Solomon Payne and Ann Farmer the within named barganors and they acknowledge the same in their presence to be there act and deed upon the day it bears date. Witness my _______ at office this 20th day of June 1835.
