         Know all men by their presents that we the heirs of John Young lately Deceased have jointly and severrally agreed to settle and divide the property and Estate of the said Dec’d in the following manner (Viz) that is we have Jointly and severally agreed to lay down all measure of disputes as respect said Estate and make the following Division that is that Elizabeth Young is to have the Brown Mare and her saddle and bridle & two sowes and calves & two beds and furniture together with all the house hold furniture except two beds & I Jacob F. Young do bind myself to provide a decent maintenance for the said Elizabeth Young during her natural life and further I the said Jacob F. Young do agree to transfer a land warrant of one hundred and sixteen and three fourth acres to John Rodgers & pay him the said John Rodgers twenty Dollars in some kind of property at its value and further I the said Jacob Young do agree to pay all the Doctors fees & a tavern account to John Hutcheson verified? & further that Joseph Cavitt is to have Shaw and two? note together with what he had received so as to make to him two hundred Dollars rating ninety six & 3/4 acres of land warrant at one hundred and fifty Dollars which he has received and further we severally bind ourselves to transfer all our right claim and interest of a negro woman and her increase which was willed to Abraham Earhart and his wife during their life and after death divided between our mother and others by Jacob Forney Dec’d of the State of North Carolina unto Abrm B. Young and we further agree to confirm unto the said A. Young the title to two hundred acres of land lying on the East of William P. Armstrong to which I have title to from John Young Dec’d (The word I meaning A.B. Young) And further we bind ourselves to make unto James Roney a title to one hundred acres of land adjoining said Roney on the West known by the name of the Maxwell tract lying and being in Robertson County, Tennessee. Viz. we bind ourselves to warrant and defend the titley to the said tract or parcel of land from ourselves and heirs or to make such a deed as is common in the division of real Estate unto the said Roney value of said land estimated at two hundred Dollars and further we bind ourselves to confirm unto Jacob Young the title Viz., to the land what he lives on containing two hundred and eighteen acres also to a transfer to a plat and Certificate of survey of thirty acres of land adjoining the said two hundred and eighteen acres and also to confirm a bill of sale which was enacted by the said Dec’d for a negro girl named Deb & the black horse and waggon and other articles do together with all the other property of the Dec’d not named in the above Article and further we agree that whereas a lawsuit now initiated in Nashville by the said Dec’d against Frederick Stump which law suit is to be allowed to by the Administrator and on the final result if gained to divide the net proceeds amongst the heirs equally after deduct ing the necessary expense and if the suit is lost we bind ourselves to pay our equal part of the expense and we further agree that this Article be complied with within three months from the date or as soon as the case will deduct of and for the true performance of the above we bind ourselves equally unto each other in the final sum of one thousand Dollars. In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this 13th day of August A.D. 1820.

         On a private examination of Catherine Roney, Susanna Rodgers, and Mary Cavitt agree to the above Article of agreement Nov 30th 1820.

Robertson County Court, February Term 1821.
         This Article of agreement between Elizabeth Young, Jacob F. Young, John Rodgers, Joseph Cavit, Abraham Young, James Roney, Susanna Rodgers and Mary and Catharine Roney was proven in open Court by the oath of James McCallon and John E. McCallon subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be registered.
