State of Tennessee, Robertson County Court May Term 1845.
         Whereas it appears to the Court here that Joseph HUGHEY is dec'd and having made no Will and Testament and application being made by James W. DRAUGHON & John H. SMITH to have Letters of Administration granted to them on the estate of the said Joseph HUGHEY deceased. They having given bond and security as by law in such cases are required. Whereupon the Court ordered that they have Letters accordingly.
         These are therefore to authorize and impower you the said James W. DRAUGHON & John H. SMITH to enter into and upon all and singular the goods and chattels rights and credits of the said Joseph HUGHEY deceased, and the same unto your possession take whensoever to be found in this State and a true and perfect inventory thereof make to our issuing County Court on oath all the just debts of the intestate pay so far as the said estate will amount our extend the residue thereof pay to those who may have a right thereto by law. Therein fail not.
         Witness Joseph E. WINFIELD, Clerk of our said Court at office this 1st day of May 1845.
