Robert d in Robertson County on 25 Dec 1838, had married in 1785 in Surry Co, NC Martha ELDER who d 30 Feb 1852 in Robertson Co TN leaving children; Frances, George, Hiram, John & Hugh HEAD, Sarah ELLIS & Martha WINTERS. Their son, George HEAD, applied 2 Jan 1854, Robertson Co, TN aged 59, a grandson Robert HEAD, Jr. was living at Nashville [Davidson Co] TN in 1853. In 1835, a Robert HEAD of Robertson County, TN made aff'dt that he had served with Robert [sic] HEAD. (Extracted from Virgil D.
