Miss E. J. MINTER, Columbia, Tenn., died Memphis, Tenn., Dec. 11, 1845 in the 18th year of her age.

Commodore JESSE D. ELLIOTT, U.S. Navy, died Philadelphia, Pa., Dec. 10, 1845 aged about 62 years.

HERR T. SCHMIDT, celebrated violinist, died Hopkinsville, Ky., Dec. 14, 1845.

Mrs. ELIZABETH WILLIS died Franklin, Tenn., Jan. 14, 1846 aged 96 years, in the residence of J. McCurdy.

JANE wife of T. A. BRIM born in 1800; married in 1831; died Feb. 21, 1846; surviving were her widower and four children.

EMMA RUTLEDGE daughter of Henry BALDWIN died in Nashville, Tenn., Feb. 22, 1846 in the 5th year of her age.

EWEN CAMERON, SR., father of the REVIEW editor [Donald Cameron], born Galkan, Ferintosh, Scotland, Feb. 28, 1768; immigrated to Virginia, 1785; moved to what became Franklin, Tenn., 1798; died Williamson Co., Tenn., Feb. 28, 1846; joined Presbyterian Church, 1804. [His tombstone in old city cemetery, Franklin, Tenn., reads: EWEN CAMERON, SR. Born at Galkan, Ferintosh, North Britain, Feb. 23, 1768 Came to Franklin 1798 Departed this life Feb. 28th 1845 aged 78 years & 5 days. This man in 1798 built the first house in Franklin. Unquote. This monument was erected by the Old Glory DAR Chapter in the 1910s.]

MARGARET S. daughter of Dr. D. [Duncan] and Sarah C. McPHAIL, died Franklin, Tenn., Feb. 27, 1846 aged about 8 years; orphaned she was "kindly adopted" into Dr. McPhail's family. [Buried in the old city cemetery, Franklin, is one whose tombstone reads: Sacred to the memory of SARAH McPHAIL consort of Angus McPhail who departed this life on the 10th of Feb. 1846 aged 63 years]

Mrs. JUDITH GREEN died Nashville, Tenn., Mar. 18, 1846 aged about 85 years; mother of the Rev. A. L. P. Green. [Her tombstone, old city cemetery, Nashville, renders her dates: 1761-Mar. 18, 1846.]

HENRY EWING, brother of Andrew and Edwin Ewing, Nashville, Tenn., died recently in Philadelphia, Pa.; an insurance agent for Merchants Insurance and Trust Company.

Colonel P. M. SANDS, postal clerk, Nashville, Tenn., died April 12, 1846.

HOLLAND WEBB died Madison Co., Miss., April 27, 1846 aged about 60 years.

GEORGE A. oldest son of George WILSON, Williamson Co., Tenn., died May 11, 1846; served in state legislature. [He served in the Tenn. House of Representatives, 1837-1839.]

WILLIAM B. DUTY, formerly of Williamson Co., Tenn., died Marshall Co., Miss., April 9, 1846 in the 38th year of his age; surviving were his widow and four daughters.

Dr. DUNCAN McPHAIL, surgeon for the First Regiment of Tennessee Volunteers, died Matamoras, Mexico, July 13, 1846; a native of Inverness, Scotland, he had lived in Williamson Co., Tenn. for twenty years; alumnus of the University of Edinburgh.

Colonel THOMAS J. MATTHEWS died Lawrence Co., Tenn., July 30, 1846 aged 47 years; formerly a member of the Tennessee legislature. [T. J. Matthews, 1799-1846, served in the Tennessee Senate, 1841-1843]

RACHEL wife of Andrew McCRORY died Lawrence Co., Tenn., July 10, 1846 aged 40 years. Presbyterian.

Mrs. ELIZABETH McCLAIN died Lawrence Co., Tenn., July 31, 1846 aged 70 years.

Captain MATT. MARTIN died Bedford Co., Tenn., Oct. 16, 1846 aged 83 years; veteran of Revolutionary War. [His war service pension application, S2726, reveals that he was born in Charlotte Co., Va., Dec. 26, 1763; moved to Bedford Co., Tenn., 1808, where he died Oct. 16, 1846.]

Her husband died in 1807 leaving her with a large family of children; moved with her son, Francis Rice, to Williamson County in 1813.
