A NOTE TO USERS OF THIS PUBLICATION

The WESTERN WEEKLY REVIEW was one of the outstanding newspapers of the antebellum era in Tennessee, published weekly in Franklin, Williamson County, Tennessee. It was a partisan paper, trumpeting the Whig Party.

The most of the death notices appearing in this newspaper, 1841-1851, have been gleaned for basic information regarding decedents. Individuals who want and/or need copies of such notices, be they simply mentions of deaths or the true obituaries, should order same from the Tennessee State Library and Archives, 403 7th Ave., No., Nashville, Tenn., 37243.

Thanks to Laurel Baty for the loan of her microfilm rolls of the REVIEW from which the material in this publication has been taken.
