Hester, 1847; 6 children, 4 surviving her; moved to Indiana in 1849 and practiced medicine; joined No. Ind. Meth. Conference as a preacher in 1852; an active itinerant preacher for five years, then "located."

Capt. NICHOLAS SNEED son of the Rev. George W. and Mary D. Sneed, born Williamson Co., Tenn., May 15, 1826; died near Waco, Texas, May 19, 1892; married in 1849 and moved the next spring to Navarro Co., Texas and served in Co. I, 19th Texas Cavalry, CSA and served through the war without injury.

Templeton, May 13, 1852, a merchant in Winchester, Tenn.; 5 children, 4 surviving her; in 1857 moved to Gentry Co., Mo. where they moved from in 1863 to Muhlenburg Co., Ky.; in the fall of 1886 they moved to Logan Co., Ky.; he died June 1889; she died March 16, 1892.

WILLIAM MORELAND born Madison Co., Ky., Dec. 2, 1805; moved with parents to Jackson Co., Tenn. in 1808; married Margaret Franklin who died July 4, 1838; married Elizabeth Harris in 1839; moved to Marshall, Texas in 1855 where his wife died in 1858; moved to Hopkins Co., Ky. where he married Martisha Vance, Jan. 24, 1859; he had fifteen children and died March 29, 1892.

MALLORY A. WILLIAMS son of A. O. and M. Fannie Williams died near Clarksdale, Miss., Jan. 6, 1892 aged about 25 years, seventeen days before his mother died.

WILLIAM T. TILMAN born in middle Tenn., Sept. 1, 1822; moved to west Tenn. in youth; married (1) Mary Ann T. Voss, Sept. 17, 1850; 8 children, 5 surviving him; (2) Mrs. Elizabeth J. Robinson, Dec. 14, 1865; died Jan. 18, 1892; "very reserved in disposition."

T. J. "Jimmie" JACKSON died Wilson Co., Tenn., Aug. 17, 1892 in his 55th year of age; wife predeceased him.

NANCY R. ALLOWAY, nee Robertson born Shelby Co., Ky., Dec. 3, 1824; died June 27, 1892; married John F. Alloway and moved to Commercial Point, Ky.; 5 children, 2 surviving her.

KENNON STEGER born Powhatan Co., Va., Jan. 23, 1806; died Madison Co., Ala., July 12, 1892; his father, John P. Steger and family; his grandfather, Francis Steger and family and uncle, Capt. Richard Haris and family migrated from Buckingham Co., Va. to Madison Co., Ala. in 1808 and purchased plantations there. He married Mary E. Wall.

Rev. JOSEPH BURRESS WEST, DD, native of Morgan Co., Ala., died in Clarksville, Tenn., May 22, 1892; married Mary Rebecca Jarred, Oct. 5, 1851; 6 children, 2 surviving him. He was "not "only intellectual but he was bright and breezy, being a wit of high order"; a panegyric written by J. D. Barbee.

MATTIE Y. DAVIS daughter of Dr. A. S. and Texana W. Yarbrough, born Panola Co., Miss., April 16, 1867; died Nashville, Tenn., July 12, 1892; married Ben Davis, Brownsville, Tenn.; a son was born in August 1890; burial in Fredonia Churchyard near Como, Miss.

D. Hodges; graduate, Louisville University, 1855 and began practice of medicine; married Lou Southall, 1853; 3 sons, 1 daughter.
