CRAIG CEMETERY

Craig Cemetery, Looking East, April 1999.
Fieldstones in center area in 1988 had been removed by 1999.

Craig Cemetery is located on Cedar Creek Landing Road in Perry County, Tennessee and probably dates to the mid nineteenth century. Fewer than half the burials here have readable markers. In 1988 the center of the cemetery was very overgrown and looked abandoned; there were many fieldstones in this area. The north and south ends were being mown in 1988 and seemed to be functioning as two family cemeteries. In 1999 and 2004 the entire cemetery was being mown and most fieldstones had been removed. David Donahue recorded Craig Cemetery November 25, 1988, updated it April 16, 1999, and checked and updated it September 10, 2004.

Craig Cemetery Looking South. Cemetery extends to white trailer in background.
