Madison County Wills and Brief Family Histories with Descendant Information

This Court met pursuant to adjournment. Present and presiding the Worshipful T.C. Long Chairman, when the following proceedings were had.

 

Ike Hinson (Henson)

Will probated

A proper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Ike Hinson (sic) is this day presented in open Court for probate and J.D. Askew and J.A. McCasland the subscribing witnesses thereto being in open Court duly sworn, testify that they were acquainted with the said Ike Hinson (sic) , that he executed, acknowledged and published it as and for his last will and testament in their presence, that at the time of so doing he was of sound mind and disposing memory, that they each signed said paper as witnesses thereto, at the request and in the presence of said Hinson (sic) the testator and in the presence of each other, that said Hinson (sic) is now dead and that at the time he was a citizen of the State of Tennessee.

It is therefore considered by this Court that said paper writing is fully proven to be the last will and testament of said Ike Hinson (sic) and it is ordered to be recorded as such.

James F. Edwards being nominated in the will of Ike Hinson (sic) decd as the Executor thereof presented himself in open Court and asks to be qualified as such Executor, and is appearing to the Court that the personal Estate of said Hinson (sic) is about $400.00 Four Hundred Dollars, it is ordered by this Court that said James F. Edwards be and is hereby appointed Executor of the Estate of Ike  Hinson (sic) decd upon his giving bond in the sum of $800.00 whereupon in open Court comes said James F. Edwards with W.A. Boren and H.J. Boren his sureties who Execute and acknowledge said bond which is approved by the Court.
