In the name of God Amen. November the 8th Anno Domini 1715. I, Richard Nowling of the Parrish of Martin Brand and County of Prince George, Being sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect memory thanks be given to God for the laws so constituted appointing and ordaining this my last will and Testament in manner and form following:
I bequeath my Soul to God that gave it me hopeing by the merritts of Jesus Christ my redeemer to Inherit Eternal Life and my body to the earth from which it came decently buried at the direction of Loving Wife Executrix of this my last will and testament.
Item: I give and bequeath unto Edward Wood Jr. all my wearing clothes.
Item: I give and bequeath unto Hew Mathews cloth for a coat-buttons and mohair.
Item: I give and bequeath unto the Widow Blayton one barrel of Indian corn.
Item: I do appoint and constitute and ordain my Loving wife whole and sole Executrix of this my last will and testament and bequeath the remainder of my estate after my debts is paid.
Item: I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth my loving wife one hundred thirty acres of land justly purchased of Robert Harwood in the County of Surry, binding upon the run that is called Savages and parting the two Countys, Prince George and Surry County. Signed Sealed and Delivered.

Court held for the County of Prince George on the Second Tuesday in December Anno Domini 1715 being the thirteenth day of the said month.
The above written last will and testament of Richard Nowlin deceased was presented in to court by Elizabeth his relict and Executrix therein named who made bond thereto and it being proved by the oath of the several witnessess thereto is by the Order of the Court here truly recorded and a certificate ordered to be granted her for obtaining a probate in due form.
