SUNNYSIDE CEMETERY
(Mercer Cemetery)

Sunnyside Cemetery is located on Highway 138 north of Mercer. The cemetery receives occassional mowing, but the mowing is not reaching the fence lines. The western rows of the cemetery, particularly the Teer family markers, are on the verge of being overgrown.

David Donahue recorded Sunnyside Cemetery May 6, 2004. Floyd and Helen Johnson recorded Sunnyside Cemetery November 11, 1988. Their record appears under the name Mercer Cemetery in Family Findings, Vol. IV, No. 4, October 1972, pp. 156-158 and in Cemetery Records of Madison County, Tennessee, Volume I The Southern Half of County (Mid-West Tennessee Genealogical Society, 1995, pp. 88-89). This is referred to as Johnsons in notes below. Charlotte Holloway and Rose Greene recorded Sunnyside Cemetery March 14, 2001. Their record is available in the TNGenWeb/Rootsweb Archives.
