ANDERSON CEMETERY

            Located in north-central Madison County on the west side of Cooper Anderson Road about 0.5 mile south of Carroll railroad crossing. Probably less than half of burials here are identified. There are many temporary marker plates with no information.

            David Donahue recorded this cemetery September 28, 2003 based on earlier work by Jonathan K. T. Smith. Mr. Smith's record for this cemetery appears in his Tombstone Inscriptions from Black Cemeteries in Madison County, Tennessee Volume 2. This is referred to as Smith in the notes below.
