JACKSON (Tenn.)GAZETTE, September 11,1830

William Renshaw, born about 1810, was likely one of the children of the widow, Hannab Renshaw, who lived in Warren Co., Tenn. in 1820 and who followed her son, Abraham Renshaw, to Henderson County. There is evidence that this widow was related to the Essary family. (HENSHAW REFLECTIONS, by Grace Park Renshaw, Baltimore, 1983, page 143) It may very well be that William Renshaw and William Essary were kinsmen. John Essary/Essery was likely the father of William Essary; the former moved away from Henderson County in the mid-1830s, settling down in Alcorn County, Mississippi.
