WILLIAMS CEMETERY

Located in north Henderson County about 1.8 miles west of Highway 22 via Strayleaf Road. Situated on north side of a field road about 420 feet south of Strayleaf Road. Numerous unmarked graves here.

Death certificate of the following indicates his burial here:
HORACE WHITE, died Oct. 18, 1914, aged about 80 years

PAFFORD FUNERAL HOME has extant records from May 1927. For many years previously and afterwards this mortuary buried blacks in Henderson County along with a now-defunct mortuary, Wright Funeral Home. Several Pafford Funeral Home markers are to be seen at black graves around the county.
