INDEPENDENCE CEMETERY

Located in northwest Henderson County about two miles north of Highway 20 via Poplar Springs-Bargerton, Independence, Independence Loop and Law Roads. Situated on west side of Law Road just north of the large white cemetery here. Long abandoned the black graves are now lost, part of a field. Death certificates indicate burial here of several blacks.
