On Monday, December 12, 1994, Mother Mary Ree Williams placed her hands in the hands of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for her final steps in her journey home to be with God. She was born on January 29, 1921 to the late George and Anna Mays. She was the eight of eleven children born to this union. Six of her brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

She was united in holy matrimony to the late Joe Williams in 1952. She was educated in the Decatur County School System. She retired from the Decatur County Manor in 1985.

Mrs. Williams entered into her relationship with God at the Temple Church of God in Christ, where she was a diligent and steadfast member until she was called to her reward. She served as the superintendent of the Sunday School department for many years before becoming a Church Mother and teacher of the Bible Band study group.
