SLATER CEMETERY

Slater Cemetery seems to be a family cemetery. It is located on the east side of Ivey Cemetery Road. Both cemeteries are indicated near the northeast corner of the U.S.G.S. Bath Springs quadrangle (1972). There are six fieldstone-marked graves and three unmarked graves, two probably infants. David Donahue recorded this cemetery December 27, 1991 and checked and updated it Nov. 1, 2003.

Margarett Alexander and Blanche Tuten recorded this cemetery on February 15, 1976. Their record appears in Decatur County, Tennessee Cemetery Records published by the Captain Daniel A. Wesson Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Parsons, Tennessee, 1984, p. 564. They counted eight fieldstone-marked graves.
