KELLEY CEMETERY
Kelley Cemetery is located in the southern part of the county on the east side of Brooksie Road a few hundred yards north of Brooksie Road's southern terminus at Highway 69. The cemetery is well maintained and is still in use. The homemade MvBride markers here are particularly difficult, both because they are hard to read and because there may be duplicates with conflicting dates. David Donahue recorded this cemetery December 26, 1996 and checked and updated it November 9, 2003.
An earlier record of this cemetery was made by Margarett Alexander and Blanche Tuten on February 28, 1976. Their record appears in Decatur County, Tennessee Cemetery Records published by the Captain Nathaniel A. Wesson Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Parsons, Tennessee, 1984, pp. 296-299. They noted "at least 74 unmarked graves." This is referred to as the UDC transcription in notes below.
