HARTLEY CEMETERY
Hartley Cemetery is a community cemetery in northeastern Decatur County on Hartley Cemetery Road. The cemetery is well maintained. There are dozens of unmarked graves. Most areas of the cemetery which have no markers are full of burials.
David Donahue recorded Hartley Cemetery in 1997 and checked and updated it December 25, 2003. Blache Tuten and Margarett Alexander recorded Hartley Cemetery on September 18, 1977. Their record appears in Decatur County, Tennessee Cemetery Records published by the Captain Nathaniel A. Wesson Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Parsons, Tennessee, 1984, pp. 244-248. They noted "at least 30 unmarked graves." This is referred to as Tuten and Alexander in notes below.
