CHANNELL CEMETERY

            Channell Cemetery is on the north side of Highway 114 about 3/4 mile east of Martin's Landing Road. It is about 100 yards from the highway in the side yard of a house. The cemetery seems to be mown regularly as part of the yard. In 2003 there were 16 fieldstone-marker graves.

            David Donahue recorded Channell Cemetery in December 2003. Margarett Alexander and Blanche Tuten recorded Channell Cemetery February 15, 1976. Their record appears in Decatur County, Tennessee Cemetery Records published by the Captain Nathaniel A. Wesson Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Parsons, Tennessee, 1984, p. 117. They note "about 23 graves with no names."
