Rev. H. N. HOBBS wrote from Hendersonville, December 8, that his father (name not given) died Dec. 3, 1870, a son of Eli Hobbs who came "to this country" in 1790; his unnamed father having been born in Maryland in 1783 and was 8 years old when his father migrated.
