Rev. WILLIAM V. TUDOR, DD, born Baltimore, Maryland, May 3, 1832; died Washington, D.C., Jan. 5, 1917; entered Methodist ministry in Baltimore Conference in 1855.

Mrs. ALFRED BENJAMIN CLIFTON daughter of Dr. P. B. Cobb, born Mifflin, Tenn., April 13, 1850; married A. B. Clifton, Dec. 18, 1857; died Hernando, Miss., Mar. 29, 1916. Children, Mrs. Nora Flynn, Pearl and Richard. Her grandfather, Joseph Cobb, was appointed by the Tennessee legislature "to layoff and fix the southwestern boundary of the state, beginning at the Chickasaw Bluffs." Her maternal grandfather was Eli Boykin, an early Methodist at Bear's Station, east Tennessee.

MINNIE H. McDONALD daughter of David E. and Annie Palmer, born Nov. 24, 1857; married James T. Mcdonald, Nov. 1876; died Batesville, Ark., July 15, 1916; one child, Mrs. Frank Hawley.

WALTER K. WILKINSON, real estate dealer in Savannah, Ga., died Nov. 27, 1916; two daus. Buried in Bonaventure Cemetery.

Rev. W. E. WOODWARD born Polk Co., MO, Mar. 22, 1842; married Sarah Killingsworth, 1866; six children; licensed to preach in Methodist Church, 1867; Confederate veteran (wounded six times); died Whitehall, Montana, September 4, 1916.

Came to the U. S. in August 1871. A physician.

ANN H. JENKINS born Little Rock, Ark., Dec. 24, 1824; died Dallas, Texas, May 12, 1916; daughter of Hezekiah Jenkins who had a ferry on the Saline River in Ark.; married William B. Rainey (died March 1859); eight children. Pulaski Co., Ark.

George Roberts; sons, George Roberts and Wiley Jackson (dec), Clark Co., Ky.; died recently in Miama, Texas in home of son, George, who returned her body for burial in Kentucky.

ELIZA SMITH born Harrodsburg, Ky., Dec. 27, 1829; died San Jose, California, Dec. 6, 1916; married William Smith (died 1902); orphaned, she was reared by her grandfather, George Dodd in Kosciusko, Miss.; moved to San Jose in 1875. She requested to be sung at her funeral, "Jesus, Lover of My Soul" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Several children.

Rev. LACY BOONE second son of Howard and Elizabeth Floyd Boone, a lineal descendant of George Boone of Pennsylvania and a fifth cousin of Daniel Boone of Kentucky fame; born Bedford Co., Tenn., Feb. 26, 1847; died Seadrift, Texas, Dec. 21, 1916; moved with parents to Washington Co., Ark. in the fall of 1850 but in 1852 they settled on Richland Creek, Madison Co., Ark.; served in the 34th Ark. Inf. Reg., CSA; licensed to preach in Methodist Church, March 1869; labored in the Tennessee, old East Texas Conferences; retired in 1889; married Helen Pickett, Mar. 12, 1878; nine children.

JENNIE CONWELL HADEN married Rev. Thomas H. Haden, 1895 and went with him to Japan as Methodist missionaries; died Kobe, Japan, Mar. 31, 1917.

GEORGE WASHINGTON GALLOWAY born Wilmington, N.C., April 7, 1829; died Canton, Miss., Mar. 2, 1917; exactly four years after the death of his son, George Marion Galloway, D. D. S. Buried in Galloway Cemetery 8 miles from Canton; married Fannie Holliday; six children, surviving, Mrs. H. G. Hawkins, Mrs. Nowland Reid and C. Hervey Galloway.

Rev. ACHILLES OLIN EVANS born Calhoun Co., Ala., Jan. 16, 1857; died May 23, 1917; fifth son of Alexander Thomas and Elizabeth Waldrop Evans; the oldest of fifteen children; his mother was born in Laurens Co., S.C. and moved with her parents to Calhoun Co., Ala. when young. The Evanses were of Welsh descent; husband and father. Methodist preacher.

ANN M. BELL, nee Overall, died Danville, Tenn., Feb. 9, 1917 aged 83 years; buried in Mt. Gilead Cemetery 12 miles from Selmer, Tenn.; widow of Job Bell, sometime clerk of the McNairy Co., Tenn. county court, 1878-1882; two surviving children.

Rev. MILTON ADKISSON, old Methodist preacher in MO, died Fayette, MO, Sept. 12, 1917 aged 82 years; licensed to preach in Methodist Church in 1855; a sometime presiding elder.

"Appreciation," Mrs. CYNTHIA TENNESSEE McFERRIN daughter of John McGavock, who moved from Virginia to Tennessee and served in the War of 1812; she died in Nashville, Sept. 17, 1917 A brief tribute written by Peyton A. Sowell.

MATTIE A. CHIPMAN daughter of William and Amanda Key, born Sumner Co., Tenn., Nov. 10, 1853; died there, March 8, 1917; married (1) J. T. Senter; one dau., three sons; (2) George W. Chipman, April 30, 1891.

Miss MARY WYATT GALBRAITH died Galbraith Springs, Tenn., May 27, 1917; survived by her parents and a brother, Joe.

MARY GENEVRA CLAY DAVIS daughter of Johnson and Rebecca Clay; widow of Rev. John C. C. Davis (died Mar. 20, 1875), MO Conference; born June 28, 1836; married Mar. 26, 1855; died Louisville, Ky., Aug. 17, 1917; seven children.

MALINDA HOUSTON ROZELLE daughter of William and Elizabeth Anthony McWilliams; born Maury Co., Tenn. [date not provided]; moved with parents to DeSoto Co., Miss. in early 1830s; married Wiley W. McFerrin (died April 18, 1916), Jan. 31, 1866; four children, those surviving, Floy, wife of Armistead Dodson and John Berry McFerrin. Died Collierville, Tenn., July 10, 1917.

Rev. AARON DOUGLAS BELL son of Rev. John W. Bell, born Iuka, Miss., May 9, 1890; died Okalona, Miss., June 15, 1917; taught school, had been a Methodist preacher only shortly before he died.

MITCHELL JONES son of John W. and Elizabeth Perry Jones, born Maury Co., Tenn., Dec. 11, 1822; married Matilda Bass, Dec. 18, 1850; twelve children; lived in Gibson Co., Tenn. for years but moved to Ark., returned to Tenn., Trenton, where he died June 4, 1917.

NANNIE PIRTLE born Montgomery Co., Tenn., 1831; married Dr. J. M. Pirtle, 1855; moved from Little Rock to California where she died, recently; two sons.
