Mrs. ALFRED BENJAMIN CLIFTON daughter of Dr. P. B. Cobb, born Mifflin, Tenn., April 13, 1850; married A. B. Clifton, Dec. 18, 1857; died Hernando, Miss., Mar. 29, 1916. Children, Mrs. Nora Flynn, Pearl and Richard. Her grandfather, Joseph Cobb, was appointed by the Tennessee legislature "to layoff and fix the southwestern boundary of the state, beginning at the Chickasaw Bluffs." Her maternal grandfather was Eli Boykin, an early Methodist at Bear's Station, east Tennessee.

ACHILLES OLIN EVANS born Calhoun Co., Ala., Jan. 16, 1857; died May 23, 1917; fifth son of Alexander Thomas and Elizabeth Waldrop Evans; the oldest of fifteen children; his mother was born in Laurens Co., S.C. and moved with her parents to Calhoun Co., Ala. when young. The Evanses were of Welsh descent; husband and father. Methodist preacher.
ANN M. BELL, nee Overall, died Danville, Tenn., Feb. 9, 1917 aged 83 years; buried in Mt. Gilead Cemetery 12 miles from Selmer, Tenn.; widow of Job Bell, sometime clerk of the McNairy Co., Tenn. county court, 1878-1882; two surviving children.
