NOTE: Buried in what became the cemetery for Nebo Baptist Church (now known as Nebo-Pisgah Cemetery) because it was then part of their own land, were JOHN WORKS who died an elderly man, June 7, 1939; his wife, LULA WORKS who died April 12, 1936 aged 60 years. He was a native of Davidson Co., Tenn.; she of Henry Co., Tenn.; they had no surviving children. In the 1910 Census, U.S., Carroll Co., CD 23, E. D. 40, Sht. 5, John Works is given as aged 46 years, native of Tennessee; Lula Works, aged 35 years, native of Tennessee; married 17 years; had one child, then deceased. Reverend R. B. Morgan recalled for the present writer that this couple, whom he remembered well, were members of Mt. Nebo Church; that while he had farmed he may have been a railroad employee also.
