BIBLE HILL CEMETERY

This cemetery is located on the north side of Hollowell Road about 2.1 miles east of this road's juncture with Highway. 114 and about 7.7 miles south of Hollow Rock, Tennessee.

EMILY wife of Samuel McAULEY
Died April 9, 1896 aged 48 years
Rest Mother, rest quietly while friends
in sorro o’er thee weep

GEORGE W. KING
Died January 14, 1889 aged 59 years
Beloved one farewell (a fallen tombstone)

LUCINDA wife of Alford GOOCH
Died July 4, 1888 aged 36 years
She died as she lived trusting in God

 

 

NOTE:
From this cemetery drive over Hollowell Road about another .7 mile to its juncture with Maple Creek Road; at the latter point just to the east on a rise marked by a cedar standing sentinel, but now void of all evidences of graves, according to acting Carroll County Historian, Mr. Danny Devault, is what remains of a black cemetery, long abandoned. This is located in the Dollar community.
