SETTLES SLAVE GRAVEYARD

Located a little over a mile southeast of Cowell's Chapel, near Camden, on the north side of Birdsong Cut-Off Road and near Prairie Branch, a tributary of Cypress Creek. Sources: Mr. William C. Branch (1890-1981) and Mr. John Dwight Melton (1902-1985), of the Camden, Tennessee vicinity, both having had this graveyard pointed out to them by older citizens.
