Looking for info on first wife of Adam
PHILLIPS born in FrederickCo., MD in 1762 moved to Rowan Co., NC
where he married an Indianwoman, cherokee according oral
family history. They had one sonEli A. PHILLIPS born 11 Mar. 1784 in
Rowan Co., NC. Not sure whathappened to Eli's mother but Adam
remarried appro.1787-1790 to whitewooman and Eli was raised as white.
Eli married a Sarah (GILES?) Buncombe Co., NC. Their son Reuben Frank
PHILLIPS, is my 2greatsgrandfather. He married Nancy BURTZ in GA.
Their daughter, JaneCallie Brilla Phillips, is my great-grandmother.
Jane Callie marriedJames Madison McKEE and they moved to TX in 1904
from Panola, MS. Barney Eugene McKEE, my grandfather and son of Jane
Callie, marriedMollie LONG and their son, Silas F. McKEE is my daddy.
Looking forlink to Eli's mother. I have a picture of Eli and he
definately showshis Native American ancestory. Also looking for
possible Cherokeelink to McKEE name.

Rhodes, John who was the father of ThomasP. Rhodes of Holts Summit
Mo . John Rhodes wife was of the CherokeeTribe. Any info on the
Rhodes name would be most appreciated. Myfather spoke of many things

heritage. I am looking for a Webb surname inTennessee who was the
father of Lewis Webb born in about 1803. IhaveAbel Webb, Isaiah

I have recently begun a family tree
search. Very is little known about my father's side (McDANIEL). My
Grandfather was Robert Harrison McDaniel, Chattanooga, Tenn. (BY ??/
DY 1940's?/) and my Grand Mother was Roberta (Brown) McDaniel (BY ??
/ DY 1950's??) There is reason to believe that there may be
ancestors that are Cherokee. The names that apperar in our family
repeatedly are: BROWN, LOVE, GRANT, OLIVER, PROCTOR, James, William,

William CHATHAM in DavidsonCounty in 1854. She is not listed with
him in the 1860 census norare the children. In the 1870 he has all

FUNNYHOW. She marriedThomas Jefferson ADAMS. Her father was a
"subchief" of Chief Bowelsof Nacgodoches, Texas according to family
stories. I'm not sure whata subchief was or is. Any help with that
would also be appreciated. Rebecca and Jefferson lived and died in
East Texas. I'm interestedin any information on the Cherokee tribe
in Nacogdoches, TX. Theywere very active in the Texas Revolution. I
believe Rebecca may nothave been born in Texas and Jefferson was
probably born in Tennessee. Family lore says he was a friend of Sam
Houston which would explainhis move to Texas. He did fight with
Houston. I've been told thatthe East Texas tribe may not be
registered with the Nation.

Seeking family of
Cathernie Jackson (b. Aug 13, 1806, d. Sept 18,1878 in Hamilton Cnty
TN) who married George W. Rogers in Tennessee, probably Monroe County
or somewhere close to what is nowSequatchie County. George
Rogers/Rodgers appears in the MonroeCounty census of 1830. Catherine
lived for awhile in FairMount/Fairmont on Waldens' Ridge near Signal
Mountain, HamiltonCnty TN and had eight children. It is possible she
was from North Carolina.

grandfather Ott P. DIXON whomarried Flora Ellen KEITH. I do not have
birth/marriage/death dates. We have been told he was part Cherokee
but have not been able tofind any information. I would appreciate

I am searching for information on an Allen
COFFEY married a MILLS. She could have been named Mary. They were
married in Tennessee andmoved to Indiana. They lived in Putnam and
Parke Counties. They haddaughter named Marina born 1830-1840, in
Tennessee.
