The story I have always heard, and my great Aunt told me again isthat Anna CROW was of Cherokee descent. She has also used the wordsdark dutch . I am the only one to really research and I have herfather as James CROW, born 1823 in Virginia. If it is not the CROWline which might be Washington Co, VA area, then perhaps James'swife, Rachael HARRIS who was born in Kentucky in 1824 whose fatherwas John HARRIS, born 1801 in Kentucky, whose mother was a BEARDINborn in NC in 1775.

I'm working to get info on Ricahrd Franklin ROWLAND who was supposedto be born on April 25, 1875 in Rome, Smith Co, TN, or unknowncounty. He married to Jannie E. Coburn. His parents were Frank(lin)P.
