He served inthe War of 1812 from 13Nov1814-18May1815, drafted in Washington Co,TN, discharged in Knoxville. By late 1815 David and Obediah were bothin Jefferson Co, TN before coming to MO. MAXWELL, SAMUEL

Need to know who were the parents of Samuel Maxwell. He firstappeared in Montgomery Co. Va. in 1801 and he owned a mule at thattime. He married Martha Patton there in 1802 and stayed there until1806. He was commissioned a Captail in the Tn Milita in 1809. Hefoughe with Andrew Jackson in the war of 1812 and then raise 11children in Jackson Co. before he died in 1848. I have an old document which states "Thomas Carney was born nearNashville, Tennessee and married to Nancy Warmouth to them was born 9children". I also have a Family Group sheet on Thomas Carney whichstates he was born Ca. 1790 (1789 per another researcher). 59 in1850 Census). Census record states that he was born in SouthCarolina. Was Nashville in South Carolina at that time?
