I am looking for information on his siblings andparents. The only info I have on his parents is as follows--hisfather(name unknown) was born in Virginia, his mother(name unknown)was born in Kentucky. Some of Joseph Joel's children took thespelling McCullough instead of McCulley. It is possible that JosephJoel's parents last name was either McCullough or McCulley.

Hi,I'm looking for information on the Pittman, Milam, and Luna (Looney)families. The only Pittman name I have thus far is that of MaryPitman/Pittman b. Abt. 1765 in Sullivan County which was part of NCat that time. She died after 1810 at Talley Station, Marshall Countyand, I believe, is buried in the Old Luna Cemetery there.She was married abt. 1780 to Peter Luna/Looney, Jr., b. October 1,1759 in VA and who died February 16, 1851.Mary and Peter had a number of children, one of whom was Nancy Luna/Looney who married Thomas J. Milam July 19, 1812 in Lincoln Co., TN. My records show that they both died in Marshall County, Thomas d.Dec. 12, 1896 and Nancy in 1883. I don't know where they wereburied.I would be most grateful for any information and happy to share anyinformation I have re Mary Pitman's descendants. Much info is outthere on the Looney's, but I've not found the ancestors of Thomas J.Milam yet, or those of Mary Pitman/Pittman.Thanks.

I have recently begun a family tree search. Very is little known about my father's side (McDANIEL). My Grandfather was Robert Harrison McDaniel, Chattanooga, Tenn. My ggggggrandfather James GREENLEE came from Ireland in about the1760's. He pushed inland and married a Cherokee woman named "Nancy"in NC. His son Louis was born in 1791 in GA (area disputed by GA andTN at the time, so, maybe actually TN) Reported to have lived mostof his life near Cookson's Creek in Polk county. At that time, thearea was still Cherokee Nation and was strictly forbidden (by USGov't) to white residents. He married Elizabeth HUNT (b. 1799 TN). I am looking for any information on William (no middle initial)MORGANb. 1777, d. 1861 in Morgan County, Indiana who came from MonroeCounty or Township, Tennessee. He left Tenn. and came to Indiana toMorgan County and bought land in 1833. He possibly has brothers orcousins, Abel, James and or John. His son, Thomas was born in 1810 inTenn. and was a bricklayer. Wm was listed as a farmer. There is alsolisted on the MORGAN family farm, one Keziah MORGAN, relationunknown, born in 1803. She disappears before the 1850 census. Wm'swife is listed on the 1840 census but died before 1850 and we can notlocate the grave or name. Since Thomas was a bricklayer, we assume hecame from an area that made bricks or had lots of clay.
