Looking for the family of my ggggrandmother, Rachel LEICHLITER, whowas born in TN late 1700s or early 1800s. O'siyo! I am searching for anyone who may know of a Martha Patsy COXGOODMAN, a fullblood Cherokee, who married James WRIGHT in 1804 in anative ceremony and again in 1808 in Martinsdale or Martinsville,Va.with justice of the peace. She is supposed to be related to Pony andComfort STARR, cousins, which makes me related to Sam STARR. I amtrying to find proof of this and any info on her ancestors,parents,grandparents,siblings,ect. Any help will be very muchappreciated. She is rumored to have been the daughter orgrand-daughter of the chief the whites called OLD TASSLE. SWEET

I am tryiny to find any information on the SWEET family which passedthrough the area 2 centuries ago. I know that Owen SWEET and hisfamily lived in Claiborne County sometime in the 1st 1/2 of the1800's. He probably had 6 children whose names might have been Mary,Polly Alexander, James, Cynthia and Elizabeth. Owen and his familyleft Tennessee for Laurel County, Kentucky in the 1840's with anotherTennessee family named BROCK. One source told me that a SWEET family(Wm. SWEET & Lucy GIBSON) came to Campbell County, tennessee fromSouth Carolina about 1797 but I have no idea if these SWEETs are inany way connected. Any leads will really be appreciated.

I need help with my dead end in the Benson Line. Robert Benson wasb. 1795 TN possibly in Robertson CO. He migrated to Ala about 1835. He was a shoemaker and his wife was named Elizabeth.
