Researching SEABORN beginnings in Davidson County and surrounding counties;
know of one branch that came from Virginia c.1800-1805 had understood
another
SEABORN family came from VA as early as 1790 to the Hermitage area (Sarah
Neville Seaborn). My research thus far has focused on Benjamin Seaborn and
wife Fanny Mosely Seaborn, who brought their family to the Stones River
area c. 1805. One of his sons, James, married Ann Castleman. I have most
info
from this point until now. Need info on siblings of James and any cousins
or other relatives of Benjamin and Fanny that may have come to TN also.
There are two men named Isaac R. Seaborn; one was a son of James and Ann
born in c 1833; the other may have been James' brother or cousin, born c.
1801. The elderIsaac died in 1849 or 1850 "run over by cars"according to
the
1850 TN mortality tables. Any info appreciated.

Trying to locate a John H. Christy who moved from TN to Athens, GA.
He was born 15 June 1820, supposedly from Johnson City, parents
unknown. Moved to Athens, GA during the early 1840s and was an
active journalist and public figure, very politically active.
Believe the H. middle initial is probably for Henry as it is carried
through generations. Family believes that his past is a mystery
because he was born "out of wedlock". Any information will be
greatly appreciated.

Eurika, died, was a MINTON. One of Hobert's half-brothers possibly
married a WILLIAMS. Frank or Monroe BOWERS. There was a

/Baird
I know the name is pronounced: Beard/Baird, but I have only heard it and I
have never seen it written down legally anywhere.
I am looking for the siblings and ancestors of Sarah Jane Beard.
She was born about 1880. Her father was Ben Beard. We believe her
mother to be a "Potter." or could possible be a Stout???
My ggrandparents lived in Johnson County Tennessee in the 1910 and 1920
Census. In the Johnson County Census, they have my Sarah
listed as 28 years old and married 13 years.
That would make her born in 1882. This differs
from Sarah's obit. Her obit says she was born in Carter County, Tenn,
on Dec 14, 1877 and that at the time of her death in 1941, she had a
Brother
named William E. Beard, living in Carterville, Tenn, which is in Hawkins
County. Sarah married a Lincus/Linkous/Linkes (name was changed) and
the Lincus family did live in Hawkins and Gainger Countys in the 1800's
census'. Any info would be very appeciated. Thanks

I am
trying to locate information on a James Bays, who is supposed to have come
over
from France, probably during the mid to late 18th century. I am checking
Tennessee because I have information that his son (James--my great, great
grandfather) was born in Tennessee in 1815. I have quite a lot of
information on
some of this James Bays' descendants, which I would be happy to share in
exchange for any information on either of my James Bays ancestors.

I am looking for the parents of William MORRISON
and his
wife's (Elizabeth) surname. William was probably born (not sure) in
western
North Carolina in about 1803. He married Elizabeth in either western North
Carolina or southern Virginia (next to east Tennessee) in about 1820.
William
and Elizabeth's oldest child was Mary Ann MORRISON, sometimes called Polly,
who
was born on 17 Jun 1826 in Greene County. Mary Ann was my g-grandmother.
Her
first marriage was to James HARWOOD, who later died. Her second marriage
was to
William J. ADAMS (my g-grandfather).
Two children from Mary Ann's first marrage to James HARWOOD (Sarah and
John),
married two DAVIDSON children (Joseph and Louisa). Does any of this ring a
bell
with anyone?
