HAWKINS, MADOX

I am looking for any information on Aaron HAWKINS (b 1793)andElizabeth A. MADOX (b 1797) who married in Marion County, Tn. 1814.Aaron was living in Anderson Co., Tn. and served at Fort Strother onthe Coosa River in Ala. in the Creek Indian War part of the 1812 Warin Tn., until May, 1814. He married 11 Nov 1814, then returned toAnderson Co., Tn until 1817, then went to Daviess Co., Ky. I suspectElizabeth is Cherokee. Marion Co. was Cherokee land in 1814. I havethis couples grandchild's picture and her bible record that statesshe is Cherokee.Her sister is referred to as black in one record,however in the census record they both are listed as white. CLOUSE

Can anyone please help me identify the Mary Bean who married RobertBlair about 1792 in Grainger Co. TN? With all those Beans aroundthere, surely someone had a daughter called Mary, or Polly, who wasborn about 1772/75.That date is pure guesswork, based on the time of their marriage. They stayed in Tenn. until about 1815, when they moved to LawrenceCo. Indiana. About 1840/45 they followed many of their children toClay Co. Seeking info on the parents of Matthew Walden/Wallen born in VA about1775. Matthew settled in the Hawkins Co area of TN in the late1700's. He was possibly married to Amy Rice, also of VA. Matthew wasprobably the son or nephew of Elisha the Longhunter. Matthewpurchased and sold land in the area near the Clinch river.
