Looking
for info on Terrell BARNES who married Lucinda SLOAN. Movedto
Cumberland County from North Carolina. Had 9 children, includingson
named John BARNES. He married 3 times to Mary BROWN, Nancy?, andLucy
Belle WILLIAMS. John run a stagecoach from Cumberland Countytowards
Nashville. Sometime the family also owned a sawmill. Lookingfor grave
of Terrell and Lucinda. John eventually moved to MorganCounty and is
buried in Pleasant Ridge Cematary in Sunbright. Anyinfo would be
greatly appreciated. Please Help me trace my ancestors.

I am looking for any information on Aaron
HAWKINS (b 1793)andElizabeth A. MADOX (b 1797) who married in Marion
County, Tn. 1814.Aaron was living in Anderson Co., Tn. and served at
Fort Strother onthe Coosa River in Ala. in the Creek Indian War part
of the 1812 Warin Tn., until May, 1814. He married 11 Nov 1814, then
returned toAnderson Co., Tn until 1817, then went to Daviess Co., Ky.
I suspectElizabeth is Cherokee. Marion Co. was Cherokee land in 1814.
I havethis couples grandchild's picture and her bible record that
statesshe is Cherokee.Her sister is referred to as black in one
record,however in the census record they both are listed as white.

name of William Hales father & mother. Information I have isWilliam
Hale was born 1800 in Washington Co., Tn. Married Nancy born1802 in
Smith county in 1823. Information I have on Williams fatheris John
Hale born ca 1777 in Va. I have not been able to prove
thisinformation. I would like to know were William was born. I would
liketo know where his parents was born, and any other information
youhave. William was in Marion Co., Tn. in 1824 as I have a deed
forland he purchased. William and Nancys first child was born in
MarionCo., Tn. in 1825, William and Nancy died in Marion Co., Tn.

Seeking info on George
CLOUSE he came to Washington County in 1780.He settled in an area
called Greasy Cove (now Erwin) Paid taxes in1796. I think he may have
came from Washington or Lee County Va, buthave no concrete info on
him prior to 1780.

I understand my gg(?)
grandfather was a member and served with atennessee militia during
the war of 1812. I believe his name wasJacob. I understand that
some organization in TN (possibility) aveterans group would furnish a
star for his grave. I am interestedin finding his grave and
presenting that star to him on his marker. Any help. Any

Can anyone please help me identify the Mary Bean who
married RobertBlair about 1792 in Grainger Co. TN? With all those
Beans aroundthere, surely someone had a daughter called Mary, or
Polly, who wasborn about 1772/75.That date is pure guesswork, based
on the time of their marriage. They stayed in Tenn. until about 1815,
when they moved to LawrenceCo. Indiana. About 1840/45 they followed
many of their children toClay Co. Ill.If anyone has any suggestions I
would really appreciate the help.

Seeking info on the parents of Matthew
Walden/Wallen born in VA about1775. Matthew settled in the Hawkins
Co area of TN in the late1700's. He was possibly married to Amy
Rice, also of VA. Matthew wasprobably the son or nephew of Elisha the
Longhunter. Matthewpurchased and sold land in the area near the
Clinch river. By 1830Matthew had sold his land and had moved the

information on JAMES CUNNINGHAM who resided inFranklin Co., Tn.
James married Jane McWhorter. Their children: Margaret (m. John
Masterson), Mary, Jane, Catherine, George M., JohnM., Newton and
Moses(m. Nancy Caroline Russell). I am a descendantof Moses. I
believe James somehow wound up in the area of AndersonCo., Tn and
