Looking for anyone
that knows anything or any traces about a slavenamed George
Robertson, he was also a preacher. He had a son JoeRobertson who
moved to Fayette County. They supposedly started outin Grand
Junction TN. I know Joe was born in 1900. The family hadvery close

Alabama, Mississipi and died in Texas in 1878. Married several times,

BRYMER surname. My ancestors were William BRYMERborn in 1774 and died
there at the age of seventy-five. A son, AmosR.BRYMER was born in
1813 and was the father of seven children: John;A.R.; William;

MURRAY Family. I'm
seeking information on the Morgan Murray familythat settled in the
Washington County, Tennesse, area probably after1780 and left for
Bedford County, Tennesse, by 1825 or so. Morgan'swife was Mary, sons
were Morgan, Jordan and William. Morgan Sr., awounded NC Rev. War
veteran, apparently died in Washington Countybefore the family left.
As there were several Morgan Murrays in thearea, it has been a
challenge to sort through them (not to mentionall the Thomases). I
appreciate any help (and this venue forsearching - great
work!).

I have been told by another researcher that an
EDWARD WIETT b 22July, 1719 d 3 Dec 1797 is buried in a cemetery
in what is nowCarter Co. Also buried in that cemetery are some
McINTURFF'S. Doesanyone know about the WIETT'S either EDWARD or
THOMAS?. Can someonetell me where I might learn about them? Perhaps

who married John WORTH. They died in Cocke County. I am interested in
George W. REED wholived in Cocke Co. and his father who died there,
but I do not knowhis name. I am also interest in John REED who
married Nancy WORTH inCocke Co. They stayed a short while and moved

MOORE, James m: Elizabeth SHELHORSE in VA.
James obtained 2 grantsof 300 acres each in what is now Grainger Co.,
TN in 1782. He islisted in 1810 census as are his peers (possibly
brothers) Rice Mooreand Mackness Moore. He may be the same James
Moore who is elected asCoroner in 1796 for Grainger Co., TN. James
appears to have diedbetween 1804 and 1821. Can anyone give me
more information on thisJames Moore?

Looking for info on Robert HOOD, baptized in
Tinkling Springs ChurchinAugusta Co. VA in 1749. He was the son of
John HOOD Jr. RobertmarriedElizabeth (STUART?). They moved to the
Holston River area ofWashingtonCo. VA by 1772, travelling with the
HARRISONS who were neighbors andrelatives. Robert and Elizabeth
relocated to Greene Co. TN by 1780orso (although they don't appear on
the 1783 Tax List). Robert donatedor sold the land that became the
courthouse in Greeneville, GreeneCo.TN. He was also a signer of the
petition for the formation of the State of Franklin. He wrote a will
in 1784, when he was seriouslyill,but he recovered and lived until
1793. I am descended from his son,Nathaniel HOOD. I would
love to learn more about Robert andElizabeth'stime in Washington Co.
VA as well as meet any "cousins."

FREDERICK SHULL
1690-1754. I have just completed the many familylines of my many
times great grandfather Frederick Shull. The Shull family
eventually settled in Watauga County, North Carolinaand many
descendants migrated into Carter, Johnson, Washington andUnicoi
Counties, Tennessee in the 1800's. The family married into the
Benjamin Ward, Jordon Councill, John Mast, Mathew Howard and Nathan

My great grandfather,
Simeon M. ELDRIDGE died in the Blue Springsarea of James Co now
Hamilton Co in 1897. His wife was Nancy orNannie. She was reportedly
a Cherokee. According to census recordsshe was born in either 1821 or
1825 and died in either 1901 or 1904when she fell in a wash pot while
washing clothes. She died in theGeorgetown area near the county lines
of Meigs, hamilton et al. Someresearchers said she was a THORNTON.

birthplace as Tennessee, on the 1850 Census,Habersham County, GA. On
same record, his wife is listed as Nancy, age 56, born inVirginia.
Maiden name unknown. Their children: William HoytHENDERSON (b. 1811,
NC); Goolsberry HENDERSON, (b. 1817, NC );Robert Leonard HENDERSON
(b.c. 1820, NC ); Albert Hines HENDERSON (b.1823, NC); Susannah

Miles MORRISON is shown
on the 1820 census of Wayne Co., TN. Heenlisted in the West TN
Militia in Nov. 1814 and served 6 Mo. AllCensus records with
references to his family state that he was bornin TN and would have
been born in mid to late 1790s. His married aCatherine (?) who was
born in KY, and their first child was born abt1815. I've hit a wall
at the Wayne County and can't find where in TNhe was born or who his
parents were. Any scrap of information will besincerely
appreciated.

Hello: I am Carl Barger,
superintendent of the Warren Public Schools,Warren, Arkansas. I am
researching my BARGER ancestors. I believethey were living in Morgan
Co. Tn. in the 1820's and 1830's. I founda land grant that was
issued to my great great grandfather, AllenBARGER in Morgan Tn in
1829. Allen does not show up in the 1830Morgan Co. Tn. census, but I
believe that his father does. There isa Henry BARGER family in
Morgan Co. Tn. in the 1830 census. I knowvery little about my great
great granfather, Allen Barger prior to1840. Any help that anyone
