with their daughter, DeSala Elizabeth DeRossette (1903-1980)
Jasper Newton was the son of Nancy Elizabeth DeRossette (1857-1931)

William Carroll DeRossette (or DuRosett), Son of Nancy & Elijah DeRossette
born about 1828 in Tennessee, married Catharine "Kitty" Butram,
daughter of Elisabeth & Willis Butram, on June 28, 1853 in White County, TN
Children: Sarah A., Willis, Nancy Elizabeth, Emma, Margaret E., Mary M., Patsy, Robert "Bob," and G.C. (male).

William C. DeRossette was listed as head of household on the 1860 and 1870 Cumberland County, TN censuses, but was not listed on the 1880 census of that county. He had a son, G.C. DeRossette, born in 1888; we do not have his date of death. He was a mail carrier, with a route from Cumberland County, TN to White and Putnam Counties, TN.
