These are tintypes of James and Rebecca Cherry Autry said to have been taken ca. 1870.
They lived in the part of Obion Co. that became Lake Co. that year.
James was b. 8 Nov 1824 in probably Hickman Co., Tn.
Rebecca was b. ca. 1849 in Tn.
She was a daughter of John Cherry and Elizabeth unknown.
James moved w/his parents and siblings to Obion Co. during the 1840's.
He first md. Susan Elizabeth Tanner 13 May 1856 in Obion Co.
She was a daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Nancy Key Tanner.
She died ca. 1864 and is bd. at Hornridge Cemetery.

This is a photo of Powhattan and Amanda Peters Autry and their surviving children.
It was taken ca. 1907 in, or near, Gainesville, Cooke Co., Texas.
Powhattan was b. 13 Nov 1866 in Obion Co. and was a son of James and Rebecca Cherry Autry.

This is a photo of Sarah Scott Autry Guthrie Bigley taken in Nebraska.
Not sure of the date, but she died 21 Jun 1917.
Sarah was a sister of James Autry. She was b. 27 May 1831 in probably Hickman Co., Tn.
She first md. Frederick C. Guthrey 28 Feb 1856 in Obion Co.
Frederick was a son of Walker Guthrie and unknown wife.
He died during the war.
She remarried in Jasper Co., Mo. This photo was provided by Wayne Bigley.
