Powells Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary
Lawrence and Louise Powell of Dayton, Ohio, will
be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on August 29th. Lawrence
is the son of the late George and Genevra Powell. Louise is the daughter
of the late Clellie and Ada Summers. The married on August 290, 1953
in Rossville, Ga and moved north to Dayton shortly after. Lawrence worked
for General Motors (Delco Moraine Division) for 36 years, retiring in 1989.
Loouise worked at a variety of jobs until 1976, when she became an employee
at Carlson Marketing Group. She was there for 14 years, retiring
in 1990. They have two children, Larry and Kathryn. Larry resides
in Casstown, Ohio, and is employed by United Parcel Service. Kathryn
resides in Fairborn, Ohio and is employed by the Greene Co. Board of Mental
Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. They have one granddaughter,
Ashlee, who resides in Fairborn, Ohio. She is a junior at Wright
State University, majoring in Social and Industrial Communications.
She is also the assistant manager at Gingiss Formalwear. The celebration
will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on August 24,2003 at 4893 Bath Rd.,
Dayton, OH 45424. Friends and family are invited to attend.

Ashlee Powell Celebrates 21st Birthday
Ashlee is the daughter of Kathryn Powell and Kenneth
Howard, all from Fairborn, Ohio. She was born on August 29, 1982.
Her maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Louise Powell were originally from
Morgan County, Tennessee. Her paternal grandparents are Herman and
Rita Howard from Fairborn, Ohio. She graduated with honors from Fairborn
High School in 2000. She currently attends Wright State University
and is majoring in Social and Industrial Communications. She plans
to graduate in late 2004 and go straight into graduate school. She
is employed by Gingiss Formalwear, where she is the assistant manager.
Her birthday will be celebrated along with Lawrence and Louise's 50th wedding
anniversary from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on August 24, 2002 at 4893 Bath Rd.,
