NOTES:
This photo was among my grandmother's, (Doris Phillips Ooten -
dau. of Ben Phillips), things.   I'm pretty sure the older man sitting down is
Joseph C. Phillips and it's likely that his son, Ben F. Phillips is also in this photo.
J. C. Phillips died December 14, 1907 in Allardt, Fentress County, TN and is
buried at the Old Barger Cemetery in Fentress County.  The young man to the
far left is probably Ben F. Phillips as he was only 34 when his father died.  J. C.
Phillips was a county surveyor in Fentress County for many years and served in the
Confederate Army, (Co. I, 4th TN Cav, (Baxter Smith's), during the Civil War.
He was married to Nancy Tinch.  She died July 22, 1913 in Morgan County and
is buried in an unmarked grave at Adams Hill Cemetery, near Deer Lodge, TN.
Please help me identify these other men.
