Tennessee, Morgan County Deeds, Vol. N, pg 139 (original Vol. N, pg 158)Samuel STONECIPHER to Rachel McPETERS, 25 Acres deed of Gift, indenture
dated 31 Mar 1858In the 1850 census, Rachel GODDARD was found in Morgan Co., with most of
her children living with her. In the 1860 census, Rachel was married to
Jonathan McPETERS, the widower of Hopa HALL. By 1870, Jonathan age 69, is
living in the household of his son John McPETERS.This deed points to Rachel GODDARD being the daughter of Samuel STONECIPHER
and Pheba CURTIS, her year of birth and place of birth make perfect sense
with this couple as parents.
