I am searching for the grave sites of Edward Brashears and his wife Ida Bell. [Edward d.1960,Ida Bell d.1966]
Three of their children Paul and Edward Jr. (both WWII vets) as well a daughter Maudie Seibers are buried in the Oliver Springs Cemetery. That cemetery is located in Roane Co.  I have found some documentation that leads me to believe that they may have lived in Morgan Co

KNOWLES
I'm trying to locate information on a Mr. Knowles that died in the Rankins community just outside of Oakdale between 1945 & 1955. He is buried in an unmarked grave at the Rankins Baptist Church cemetery &
was living with my grandparents Mae & Charlie Clark when he died. I have found a William H. Knowles in the 1910, 1920 & 1930 census records living just a couple of houses away from my grandparents, I

RICH
I just recently discovered that my Great Grandfather was born in Morgan County and then moved to Knox County when he was six.  I am trying to find out something about his parents.  His name was James Houston RICH born in July of 1852. On his death certificate it states his parents names as Sam Houston RICH and Elmyra SHANNON. I have become confused by an article that have read and the 1870 Census where he is listed living with a John LLEWELLIN and his wife Elizabeth Elmyra SHANNON LLEWELLIN.  So to say the least I am
confused maybe it is his mother and step father just not sure. Both James RICH and John LLEWELLIN were both involved in the founding of the Grassy Valley Baptist Church in Knoxville and is where one of James RICH'S son's is buried also!  I have found that John LLEWELLIN was also from Morgan County so any help would be great I thank you for your help.

Can anyone provide info on Bailey Oscar Rosenbaum who lived in Rugby, Tenn. He is the brother of Nettie Rosenbaum, who married R. M. Brooks. Mr. Brooks owned the Brooks Store. At one point Nettie may
have been a postmaster for the area. I remember meeting Bobby Brooks at his Barn Store and his field of soybeans when I was about 10 (50 years ago) as well as a number of other Brooks relatives. I also
vaguely remember seeing Alvin York who was being cared for by either one of the relatives or friends of the Brooks/Rosenbaums.

Rhoda FARR (d/o Rufus & Lottie NORRIS FARR) married Wm C HALL in 1898.
In the 1900 census it shows them with 1 child born, 1 child died.
Rhoda then married P C YORK in 1901 and had 8 children before he died in 1914.
She then lived in Nashville at the Mason Widow's Home.
Does anyone know what happened to Wm C HALL?

SUMMERS, BASIL & FREDA JACKSON SUMMERS,
I was born on Nov. 21, 1947 in a mining camp in Gobey.
My birth is recorded as "Lansing R2, Morgan County, Civil District 4.
My father was Basil Summers, mother Freda Jackson Summers.  I had three siblings, JoAnn, Basil Jr. and Ruth.  My father was a coal miner.
We moved to Bonny Blue, Virginia and then on to Noblesville, Indiana by the time I was 4.
I would like to know if their is anything of the coal mining town left.  If so I would like to visit the area.

My ancestor, Jesse CHISM, was said to be from Overton County, Tenn., born in 1822.  He had told his family that his father was John CHISM or CHISHOLM..(spellings vary) who fought in Rev. War.  A genealogist
has told me that it is possible that this John CHISM/CHISHOLM could have lived at one time in the early 1800s in what was then Morgan County.  Was there a person with that name in the county at that
time?

Does anyone know about John C Estes and Barbara (Jones) Estes?  (1796-1880 & 1798-1880, respectively.)
John had 2 or 3 sisters.  John and Barbara moved to Tennessee in 1828, 10 years after marrying.
Their oldest son, Peter, b. abt 1820, is the only one of their 10 children who stayed in Tennessee
when John & Barbara moved to SW Missouri in the mid-1850’s.  I am descended from his 7th son,
Samuel, Samuel’s 1st marriage.  He was widowed twice total and each of his wives bore him children.
He and America Teague had 4 children.  The oldest, Robert, inherited his home place, I think.
