Bicentennial 1976
Revolutionary Soldiers
By WD Human
Listed below are Revolutionary Soldiers who were listed as pensioners from
Morgan Co. who received a pension from the Federal Government under the
Revolutionary Claim Act of June 7, 1932.
The amount of pension ranged from $20 per anum to $80 per anum depending on
length of service. Many widows applied for and received pensions after the
death of the husband.
We are listing states from which they served and battles in which they
participated. We need information on many of these soldiers. We appeal to
descendants who have information to contact the writer that we may further honor them
during this Bicentennial Year.
