This is the unedited research and genealogical collection of Geneva
Suggs Swain donated by Carroll Ray Ellis.
Harrison B. Slayden of Chicago died Saturday July 7, 1984
at his home. The funeral will be at Taylor Funeral Home, 63 East
79th St., Chicago, at 7 p.m. Wednesday with burial at Burr Oaks Cemetery
on Thursday. He was a son of Sallie Moody Slayden, Clarksville, and
Dillard Slayden.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Luvenia
Slayden; two sons and three daughters; five brothers, Lee Slayden, Chicago,
Walter Slayden and David Slayden and Ray Slayden, all of Clarksville, Jewell
Slayden, Nashville, and four sisters, Dimple Kersee, Mayme Mayhew and Bertha
Hubbard, all of Chicago, and Cynthia Collins, Clarksville.
