Acme Boot Building
Crossland and Gracey Avenues

Harvey Moon, Office Manager

Jim Bailey worked there between 1948-52. At that time Sidney Cohen was President (his father Jessel used to come in occasionally). Robert (Bobby) Turrentine (later President) was Purchasing Agent, Delbert Mason was Sales Manager, and Raphel(?) Tucker was Credit Manager.
Jim lived across the street from Acme when growing up. He tells the story about when he was just a kid, Mr. Moon used to step out front and call the neighborhood kids together to try on shoes. But, FIRST, we had to go home and wash our feet and put on socks. We each got a nickel. Talk about big money!
