               This is a picture of the Koon family in 1946 in Polk/Lakeland/FL. Jennie Carlyle Powers Koon is pictured here at 50 years old. She departed this life on January 31, 2001 and remained sharp as a tack! L-R: Mary Emily Koon Allard (1930-present), Alpheus Cary Koon, Jr. (1918-1969); Wiley Emmet Koon, MD (1928-present); Alpheus Cary Koon, MD (1890-1953); Jennie Carlyle Powers Koon (1898-2001 of Palmyra, TN) and Louis Lee Koon, CPA (1922-1997, and recipient of the Purple Hear while serving in the European Theatre in WWII).
