Services for Presley Dotson Hughes, 73, of Route 2, Fairview, Tennessee were held Sunday, September 2, 1979 at 2 p.m. in Pettus-Owen and Wood Funeral Home, Fair­view, conducted by John Lampley with burial in New Hope Cemetery.

<>Mr. Hughes died August 31, 1979 in a local hospital.  <>

Survivors include his wife Edith Hughes, Fairview, Tenn., two sons: Presley D. Hughes, Nashville and Dennis Hughes of Fairview; one daughter, Geneva Anderson of Fairview, Tenn., two brothers: Woodrow Hughes, Franklin, Tenn., and Hillie Hughes of Columbia, Tenn.; three sisters: Mrs. Walter McPherson, Nashville; Odessa Joslin, Nashville, and Miss Myrtle May Harrison, Santa Fe, Tenn.; nine grand­children.
