N.E. Freeman
7 March, 1972

       Funeral services for Norman E. Freeman, 74, retired farmer of Route 1, Cuningham, will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Martha's Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Loy Dodd and the Rev. Lexie Freeman. Burial will be in the church cemetery, McReynolds Funeral Home in charge.
       Mr. Freeman died Tuesday morning in General Care Convalescent Center after an illness of seven weeks.
        He was born in Dickson Co., Dec. 25, 1897, but had lived in Montgomery Co. most of his life. He was the son of the late George and Sally Harvey Freeman
       Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Thula Davis Freeman; a son, Davis Freeman, Cunningham; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur E. Reynolds, Tennessee Ridge; Mrs. Gordon Hardeman, Cunningham; two brothers, Gilbert, Dickson, and Clifton Freeman, Cumberland Furnace; two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Swift, Cumberland Furnace, and Mrs. Joe Stewart, Cunningham; five grandchildren.
       He was a member of the Martha's Chapel United Methodist Church and McAllister Lodge.  Pallbearers will be Joel, and Bailey Plummer, Tommy Justice, Tommy Swift, and Ray Ferrell.
