This is the unedited research and genealogical collection of Geneva
Suggs Swain donated by her cousin Carroll Ray Ellis.
Funeral
service for Mrs. Lucy Era Hodges, 79, who died Friday at her residence
at Route 1, Cunningham, were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Marion United
Methodist Church. Burial was in Ferrell Cemetery at Marion, Nave Funeral
Home in charge.
Survivors
are three sons, James R., Clarence C., and Dossie C. Hodges, all of Cunningham:
three daughters, Mrs. George Slayton, Westmoreland, Tenn.; Mrs. James Hembree,
Cumberland Furnace, and Mrs. W. C. Bass, Cunningham; a brother, Newell
Hollis, Cumberland Furnace, and a sister, Mrs. Marie Powell, Stewart, Tenn.:
12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
