Attended elementary school at Clarksville, Montgomery County; high school, four years; college, four years; attended business college and Air College, Chicago, IL. Married at Clarksville in 1938; wife named Margaret Opal; no children indicated. Owns and operates at Clarksville the Montgomery Hotel, Royal York Hotel, Northern Bank Snack Bar, and Clarksville Sanitary Disposal Co. Member city commission of Clarksville eight years; mayor of that city. Member Church of Christ; Chamber of Commerce; Clarksville Golf and County Club; Civitan Club, serving as treasurer and as president. Address (1967) 120 S. 2nd, Clarksville.
