JOHN HARTWELL "HART" BALTHROP

        Mr. Hart was wounded in the right thigh causing amputation of his right leg.  Two brothers were killed in the war.  He returned home at the close of the war and taught school until 1873, when he opened a store at Grantvill near Fredonia, later returning to Henrietta, Cheatham Co., where he ran a store.
        Issue:  on dau., Eunice Balthrop, who married Learder Aquilla Pennybaker.
        Mr. Balthrop is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
