Pfc. Robert V. Turpin, 28, of Lakeside community, who was killed in action in Northern Italy on Oct. 25, 1944, while serving with the 85th Division of the 5th Army, will arrive in Madisonville Friday at 12:43 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at New Hope.  Burial in the church cemetery, Kyker in charge.

Survivors include a son, Roy Lee Turpin, Madisonville; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville V. Turpin, Vonore; a brother, S.L. Turpin, Loudon; six sisters, Mrs. W.H. Moore, Lake Worth, Fla; Mrs. Charles Cansler, Mrs. R.H. Nichols and Miss Juanita Turpin, Vonore; Mrs. Joe Brashears, Loudon; Mrs. W.R. Walters, Miamisburg, Ohio, and his grandmother, Mrs. M.J. Turpin, Lenoir City.

American Legion Posts 65 of Madisonville and 70 of Maryville will be in charge of military honors.
